I believe this is a form of McBride’s https://arxiv.org/abs/1807.04085 Everybody’s Got to Be Somewhere which I mistakenly thought contained the Map to Var idea because of what was contained in the hashing mod alpha paper https://arxiv.org/abs/2105.02856 . It has something more local and interesting I think.
